Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Welder to join our manufacturing team.
The Production Welder will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our welding processes, contributing to the production of high-quality welded components and products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Welding Operations: Perform MIG welding, on a range of steel material thicknesses.
Setup and Maintenance: Set up welding equipment, select appropriate tools, and ensure they are in good working condition.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to keep it operational.
Quality Assurance: Inspect welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Identify and rectify any defects or imperfections in the welding process.
Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to produce accurate welds and assemblies.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
Productivity: Meet or exceed production targets and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Material Handling: Safely handle and move materials and products, ensuring proper storage and organization.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including production logs and quality control documentation.
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including welders, fabricators, and supervisors, to ensure a smooth workflow and effective communication.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives and suggest improvements to welding procedures and equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational welding certification is a plus.
Familiarity with welding equipment and tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials, and to work in various environmental conditions.
Problem-solving skills and adaptability, and desire to learn and improve.

This is a full-time position, and the work may involve overtime, depending on production schedules.
