African grey parrot.
We call her a female but most likely she is a male.
DNA tested.
suitable for breeding.
Chest fully plucked as is par for the course for greys.
She is roughly fifteen.
I was her third home at 2 years old after two very poor homes.
She loves me and lets me handle her however I want.
Will step up for anyone else from the floor.
Those who earn her trust get to handle her as desired.
If you are even slightly afraid of her or of getting bit you’ll have to work much harder.
She is kinda a bully.
Likes to test with a little nip.
If you yank away next time the nip will be harder.
In short, she is well behaved and sweet for experienced handlers.
Not so much for someone nervous even slightly around big parrots.
She speaks English and spanish a lot, loves to try to get Alexa to buy things for her and turn smart home lights on and off.
She does do some annoying sounds as well, but she is not a screamer.
She come with a cage.
She will come with her “sleeping” cage.
(Small, covered wire dog crate on my night stand that she sleeps in while I sleep—this will be her travel cage—last picture shown.
Her daily cage is 3’ wide, 6’ tall, 2’ deep, but older than her and badly in need of replacement.
She recently figured out how to take apart the door lock, so she will come with a new cage.
She is goes along with other birds.
and home puppies
She will eat most seed and nuts, currently eating lafaeber pellet for her primary diet.
Eating fresh foods and veggies is very hit or miss.
Asking $900
Again, no cage.
I can no longer keep her for medical and health reasons.
Long story.
Blood thinners mean even an “I lost my balance” nip bleeds for ages, so I’m getting nervous with her and she knows it.
Not willing to travel, not willing to invite strangers into my home.
You will have to come pick her up at a safe place at a quik trip near me.
Serious inquiries with knowledge and experience only please.
This is not a breeding bird, and it is not a first time bird.
