Position Summary: Develops and presents literature-based programs for youth ages pre-school through high school.
Develops and implements literacy development, and educational and recreational programming.
Answers patron inquiries by demonstrating an extensive knowledge of children's and young adult’s literature, use of online databases, current event sources, and reference materials.
Develops and maintains youth library collections in accordance with the needs of the community.
Pay Grade: 106
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE: One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a library setting EDUCATION/TRAINING: At least two years of relevant college-level course work or an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Library Sciences, Child Development, English, Literature, or a related field Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
