Swim Lesson Instructor

Position Details ABOUT OUR JOB The Swim Lesson Instructor conducts swimming lessons for individuals or groups of children or adults Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conducts swimming lessons as required.
Monitors and records student progress to determine proper class placement.
Enforces pool safety regulations and department policies and procedures to prevent accidents and maintain order.
Keep patrons and students informed of pool rules and regulations.
Responds to emergency situations and assist or rescue swimmers in distress utilizing established rescue techniques.
Administers first aid to injuries suffered by swimmers and administers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as necessary.
May perform custodial services to maintain a clean and orderly facility.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Additional Information ABOUT YOU Parks and Recreation will certify instructors in CPR/First Aid/AED if not currently certified.
Age Requirement: Must be 15 years of age or older.
Education and/or Experience: Experience and/or training in teaching swimming lessons preferred.
The ability to swim is required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Previous experience and CPR & First Aide Certification are not necessary but considered helpful.
Training may be available.
Days and hours vary but include evenings and weekends.
