Every day guests at Holiday Inn are provided fresh linens from a laundry team that washes, dries, stocks, folds, inventories and does much more behind the scenes to meet and exceed the high expectations of our guests.

DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment (washer, dryer, etc.
)
Move laundry around cleaning area to be cleaned or sorted
Sort and fold laundry to requirements
Follow instructions for operating cleaning equipment
Identify and remove linens with holes, stains, or signs of wear
Treat stains with appropriate products before washing
Retrieve dirty laundry from floors or laundry chute area
Return cleaned and folded laundry to stock linen closets
Maintain all safety/sanitation standards, including compliance with all regulations issued by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the State Health Department, etc.
Maintain crisp, clean, and professional personal appearance.
Wear appropriate uniform, which may include smock, hair net, and nametag
Maintain a professional and helpful environment with colleagues and fellow staff
Always adhere to all company policies/procedures and any applicable state/federal laws
Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Previous housekeeping experience is ideal.
However, thorough training may be provided for outstanding candidates who lack previous professional housekeeping experience.
Communication skills in working with guests, managers, and other personnel
Ability to work a flexible schedule
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires physical stamina.
To fully perform his/her duties, Room Attendants will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, bend, push, and pull.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move continuously during work hours.
Must be able to lift and/or carry 50-75 pounds on a regular basis.
Must be able to work with prescribed cleaning chemicals.
