The Admin Assistant I is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support in order to ensure that senior services are provided in an effective and efficient manner.
Essential Job Functions Include:
· Greet visitors, provide information, answer telephone professionally and route calls
· Create and manage Home Delivered Meal List daily
· Responsible for Senior Assistance Management Systems (SAMS) data maintenance, including accurate data entry, assessments and rosters
· Complete occasional accounts receivable tasks, including but not limited to performing routine bookkeeping duties, ie.
: collect & receive money, issue receipts & record transactions
· Assist seniors as needed with copying, faxing, using telephone, completing forms, providing and gathering accurate information
· Occasionally assist the Transportation Department in answering telephone, taking messages & dispatching rides
· Send correspondence to donors and record amounts/items on spreadsheet
· Compile information and data for reports
· Operate office machines and equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, calculator and fax machines
· Occasionally assist other departments within the Center as needed
· Attend and participate in staff meetings and related Senior Center activities; attend workshops, conferences, and classes to increase knowledge
· Other duties as assigned

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Ability to receive telephone calls in a pleasant manner, route calls or take messages; greet visitors; answer questions and provide information as needed
· Ability to use office software applications, including but not limited to QuickBooks, Excel Spreadsheet, Senior Assistance Management Systems (SAMS), My Senior Center (MSC), and Microsoft Software
· Must be knowledgeable of the Employee Handbook of the Campbell County Senior Center
· Shall understand and adhere to the personnel policies of the Campbell County Senior Center
· Ability to observe client confidentiality
Physical Demands:
· Sitting at a computer workstation for long periods of time
· Walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, squatting, twisting upper body
· May be required to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc.
in excess of 45 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Must possess high school diploma or equivalent, and office experience preferred
· Must be a citizen of the United States of America or eligible to work in the United States of America
· Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing
· Knowledge of basic office equipment & computers
· Ability to learn and apply office practices and procedures
· Possess good organizational and time management skills
· Ability to deal with frequent interruptions in a professional manner
· Ability to work independently and as a team member
· Willingness and desire to learn and advance
