Position Title - Finance Controller

PSI is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Controller to join our growing office in Rapid City, SD.
With an emphasis on operational and tactical aspects of the company accounting department, you will be a member of the executive leadership team, working collaboratively with other executives to enable strategic decision-making for the business.

Responsibilities
Perform monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis and reconciliations
Lead an accounting department that processes complex contract invoicing and multi-state payroll accounting functions.
Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets (monthly, quarterly, annually)
Assist Senior Management with special projects to support strategic decision-making (e.
g.
, "what if" strategic analysis, forecasting, new project P&L projections)
Identify and track key performance metrics pertaining to business operations, gross margins, benchmarking, etc.
Provide contract compliance data related to indirect cost rates, complete calculations for state agency overhead rate reviews.
Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
Supervise accounting team functions that complete multi-state tax registrations, tax payments and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate the company’s risk management and insurance policies, renewals, coverages, and audit requests.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years' work experience in accounting management, financial statement analysis, GAAP compliance
8+ years of people management experience in an accounting role
CMA or CPA license preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business from an AACSB certified institution
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Extremely strong analytical, problem-solving skills and business acumen
Strong communications skills
Project and time management skills
Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
Experience with accounting for federal government contracts is highly preferred
