Click here to learn more about our full benefits package JOB SUMMARY The Chargemaster Analyst works under the supervision of the Revenue Cycle Director.
The primary responsibility is to maintain the integrity of the CDM (charge description master).
Will partner with stakeholders in revenue cycle and operations to identify and correct revenue cycle inconsistencies specific to billing/collecting.
The Chargemaster Analyst will require collaboration with various levels of management and across various departments.
The Chargemaster Analyst will ensure adherence to guidelines established by CCH policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Primary responsibility for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the CDM for CCH.
Maintains knowledge base relative to changing industry charging procedures, including annual changes to CPT/HCPCS codes.
Will identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to enhance revenue generation and reduce denials.
Investigate other state and regional healthcare delivery systems to maintain equity with the competition.
Perform a pivotal role assisting with the negotiations with payers.
Develop annual process for department leaders to review changes/updates to the CDM.
Responsible for continued training of operational staff and leadership connecting services provided to appropriately charging for such.
Work collaboratively with billing and coding teams to develop and implement solutions to reduce denials and improve the overall reimbursement process.
Assist in maintaining compliance with governmental and third-party payer requirements.
Participates in various committees in areas such as quality improvement and performance improvement.
Complies with the Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education College graduate with a 4-year degree in Accounting, Business or related field.
Will consider years of experience in lieu of degree.
Master’s degree preferred Experience A minimum of 5 -7 years of direct experience within the role.
Certifications required See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy and Certifications/Education Requirements Policy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The ability to maintain continuing education requirements and all certifications and licenses as required (e.
g.
ACLS, PALS, CPI, CPR) to maintain professional license.
Licensed professionals must strictly adhere to the ethical code of their respective discipline.
Strong working knowledge of accounting including GAAP and CCH financial reporting requirements.
Basic computer knowledge including ability to operate and type clearly, analytical and reasoning skills, and math aptitude with a high level of mental concentration.
Able to work independently and accurately without close supervision.
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions and under stressful conditions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all data, ensuring information is not released to unauthorized individuals.
Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, co-workers, staff, and hospital management.
Patience and ability to maintain composure in stressful situation and effective problem-solving skills.
